2022 Collaborative Innovations for Community Health

Through the generosity of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Healthy Kids, Healthy Families® grant, It’s Time Texas will award sub-grants totaling $125,000 to community-based organizations who are able to mobilize and rapidly deploy resources where they are needed most within two designated areas of Texas—Galveston County and San Antonio Metro. We will grant up to $50,000 per award. Funding will support the delivery of effective programs and services that improve critical health outcomes, address root causes of health disparities, remove barriers to access, and advance community conditions for health and wellness that improve resilience in the face of COVID-19.

Who Should Apply?

Dramatically improving health and equity requires a systemic approach that centers and values community voices to address the root causes of poor health. We must rethink our environment, placing health at the center of how we live, work, and play. It requires a culture of health, where health is a shared value and health equity is a reality.

Applicants must be a community-based organization who has an existing or current program that improves critical health outcomes, addresses root causes of health disparities, removes barriers to health access, and/or advances community conditions of health and wellness. We invite organizations that can deliver impact by the end of 2022.

Participants must serve community members in one of the following Texas communities:
Galveston County
San Antonio Metro
